To fix a plumbing issue, are you thinking of hiring a contractor? Before deciding, use our list of pertinent questions to ask the plumber.

You may find a plumber who can handle minor and severe problems by using the answers to these questions.

They will also help you avoid making a mistake that may cost you thousands of dollars: choosing the incorrect plumber.

Here are five crucial questions you should ask any plumber before choosing them, so don't start your search with "What to do while waiting for a plumber in San Diego"

1. How much will fix your plumbing issue cost overall?
Competent plumbers typically want to inspect and evaluate your plumbing issue before calculating the cost of the repairs. Skilled professionals also include the price of any new parts required to finish the repair.

2. What kind of work will be done?
Ask the plumber about their credentials and experience if they employ assistants or subcontractors. You don't want to assume that the plumbing will be fixed by someone with less training or expertise than the plumber you initially spoke with.

3. Is the Plumber certified?
Ask them about their experience and certification if any? . While newly licensed plumbers with little experience should be avoided.

4. Inquire about  Having a License and Bond
If a plumber needs to come out to your house to remedy a plumbing problem, make sure they are a Licensed and Bonded Plumbing Service.

5. Is the rate set or hourly?
Assuming the pipes are accessible, the more experience a competent plumber has, the better because it will allow the plumber to estimate how long it usually takes to finish the repair.
